Why there’s no packing phase with Compression Molding
There is no pack or hold phase within Compression molding. Typically our charges are oversized to 104-106% of the molded part. This additional volume will be one of the only ways we can pack additional material into the cavity.
There are several options that be set regarding how the press transfers from speed control to force control. You can also set a force/time that would occur after the press starts the force control. I usually review the log files to ensure Moldflow is doing what I think it should.
